Frequently asked questions
Dessert, answered
Can I order cheese instead of dessert?
Yes, and many guests do. Cheese is served in one ounce portions with freshly baked walnut bread and salted almonds — choose three for 18, four for 22, or all five for 25.
Are there dessert wine pairings?
Two are suggested with the cheese board: a Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon, Oro Puro, Napa Valley 2011 at 18 per glass, and a Madeira, Cossart Gordon, Colhieta Bual 2005 at 17 per glass. The sommelier will happily pair by the dessert instead.
Do you make birthday and celebration desserts?
Yes. Mention the occasion when you book and the pastry kitchen will plate something with a message. For larger celebrations, see private dining.
Is there a non-dairy option?
The Trio of Sorbet — oolong tea, meyer lemon and burnt honey — is the usual answer, and the kitchen can adjust other plates with notice.
