Elevate your next reception and take a dive into Farallon's new Jellyfish Loft. Our new semi-private dining space is perfect for standing receptions and happy hours for up to 50 people. This unique experience allows for your own space, without missing out on the energy and atmosphere of the Jellyfish Lounge just beneath you.
Hosting your party at the Jellyfish bar includes: building your own shellfish bar, customized cocktails & wine pairings crafted by our sommelier, and specialized passed bites.
Who books it
The Loft suits the events that do not want a seated dinner: a client cocktail hour before a Post Street Theater curtain, a launch, a birthday drinks party, or the reception half of a wedding weekend. Because it sits on the balcony reached by the caviar staircase, guests get a view down over the lounge rather than a closed box.
Building a shellfish bar
The most popular format is the build-your-own shellfish bar: choose your oyster varieties from the day's list, add chilled Maine lobster and Dungeness crab, and let the sommelier set two or three pours against them. Passed bites fill the gaps so nobody is holding a plate.

Is the Jellyfish Loft fully private?
It is semi-private. You get your own space on the balcony, but you remain part of the room — the lounge continues beneath you, which is exactly why most hosts choose it.
Can we have a seated dinner in the Loft?
The Loft is designed for standing receptions and happy hours for up to 50 people. For a seated dinner, the Sevruga Room seats 16, the Osetra Room 32 and the Beluga Room 96.
What is included?
Building your own shellfish bar, customized cocktails and wine pairings crafted by our sommelier, and specialized passed bites.
How far ahead should we book?
